Kea (also known as Tzia) is the closest Cycladic island to Athens. Its short distance from Athens, makes it easily approachable throughout the year. Its natural landscape, beautiful beaches, thrilling sights and rich historic tradition make Kea an enchanting destination that wins over even of the most demanding visitor.
We will first sail to Gialiskari, a small, picturesque bay. Dive into the turquoise waters, enjoy the sun or snorkel and explore the rich marine life of the island.
Then we will sail to Vourkari, a village built amphitheatrically on the slopes of a hill. Enjoy a nice swim or taste fresh seafood in one of the local taverns.
Our next stop is Makronissos, the biggest uninhabited Greek island that on the northwest of Kea. It took its name due to its elongated shape (makris = long). According to a myth this is where Helen of Troy and Paris stopped on their way to Troy. In its recent history it served as an exile land for political prisoners from the 1940s to the 1970s. Remnants of some buildings of this period are still visible on the island.
Enjoy its virgin beaches and dive into the eternal blue. Take advantage of the snorkeling equipment and explore the beauties of the seabed, use the SUP to explore the small, picturesque coves or try fishing.
