Bareboat charter, means that you are the captain and the crew of your boat. Therefor the person signing the Bareboat charter agreement needs to obtain the appropriate qualifications, as being held responsible for the yacht, the navigation, the mooring and the safety of the group. It is obligatory for local port authorities to require skipper’s appropriate documentation (fully recognized are ASA , RYA, Nautic Ed certifications and any International Certificate of competence).
