A week before Embarkation
You are counting the days backward and soon you are about to get on board your favorite luxury yacht.
One week before embarkation is the best time to start gathering your clothes, shoes, books and toys for the best sailing vacations. Make sure you make a written list and check it during packing. Some items you might consider taking on a sailing trip are: a preferably waterproof camera, your phone with international roaming, your phone’s charger, your books or Kindle in a waterproof bag, a dry bags to carry your stuff in the dinghy, preferably polarized sunglasses with strap, sunscreen, swimsuits, a couple of quick drying shorts, some quick drying no cotton t-shirts, one semi-nice outfit, a button up shirt or a sundress, a rain jacket, soft and Shoes for sailing with non marking soles with toe protection for the boat.
For bareboat yacht charters we offer “ Perfect Yachts Comfort Pack” (payable at base in cash). Check the following list of our comfort pack so you bring or buy only needed provisions:
Welcome drink at base
- First fill for dinghy’s outboard engine, Spare bottle of gas
- A set/person linen (cotton 100%)
- Luxury towels face and body (very big)
- Welcome kit (bottle of water, bottle of wine, basket with fruits)
- Cleaning products (liquid soap for wc & dishes, general cleaning, sponge kitchen, garbage bags (a pack).
Any minor health issues can sometimes be frustrating during holidays, so be proactive and make a list of any needed medication. If you have your children with you make sure that all their documents are valid. One important matter for more comfort on a sailing vacation is the selection of a suitable suitcase. Our suggestion is that it should be be soft material and collapsible so you can fold and store and won’t harm the leather and wooded surfaces of the Yacht.
